Update from LTB

The Landlord and Tenant Board continues to provide services to the public.

All in-person hearings previously scheduled have been postponed. Telephone or written hearings will be scheduled for non-eviction matters and urgent eviction matters.

Until further notice, the LTB is suspending the issuance of eviction orders and all hearings related to eviction applications — unless the matter relates to an urgent issue such as a serious illegal act or threat to life or safety. For more information, read the news release.

The LTB encourages submission of applications using e-File. If your application cannot be submitted via e-File, it can be submitted by mail, courier or fax to your LTB regional office. If you submit by mail, courier or fax you will experience processing delays.

ServiceOntario Centres are providing limited intake of LTB applications and documents. Please visit the ServiceOntario website for a list of locations that accept applications and documents on behalf of LTB.
